The hotel Leningradskaya, Moscow was built in 1948-1953 according to the disign by L. Polyakov and A. Boretskiy. According to their idea, the hotel was supposed to reproduce the style of Russian architecture of the 18th century - "Naryshkinsky style". There is a vivid contrast between the interior and exterior design: gloomy from outside it astonishes with its inside luxury. Because of this luxury the designers were deprived of Stalin award as the rest of high-rise building architects and instead of that underwent dressing-down. The hotel suffered as well: unique modeling disappeared from the ceilings, works of art disappeared from the rooms. The Leningradskaya Hotel boasts a convenient location - on the Sadovoye Ring, close to three railway stations - Leningradsky, kazansky and Yaroslavsky. It is easy to get to the other railway stations, airports, as well as the city centre which is home to the capital's major attractions. Only one underground station away is the Kursky railway station, a little further away is the Paveletsaky railway station from where you can easily reach the Domodedovo Airport (it is not more than an hour's ride altogether).
